Production of heavy oil is always a challenge and often it cannot be done with conventional methods. Most of the time heavy oils cannot be recovered in their natural form, thus in order to produce it are needed different technologies like cold heavy oil production with sand, vapor extraction, cyclical or continuous steam injection, in situ combustion methods & other.
On May 8th at ICPT Campina, SPE Romanian Section is organizing a SPE Thermal Treatments in Heavy Oil Production event, where our guests will talk about the latest technologies that are used today for optimizing heavy oil production.
