University of Bucharest SPE Student Chapter was founded in 2013 and supported by the SPE Romanian Section and Faculty of Geology and Geophysics, University of Bucharest.
The purpose of our student community is to encourage and inspire the members to collect, gain, enhance, understand and exchange technical knowledge from Oil&Gas Industry and its geological and geophysical branches, by launching several projects, field trips, workshops, scientific presentations, technical activities, as well as, self-development and educational programs. Also, hard skills are measurable and teachable through our various activities, but soft skills such as leadership, communication, motivation, persuasion, teamwork, confidence, and work ethic are decisive and essential to achieving our community and personal goals.
Moreover, the students have the chance to meet professionals due to the technical events organized and supported by SPE Romanian Section. In fact, the chapter tries annually to evolve by facing new challenges and updating ideas in order to achieve our scope. The mission is to provide new opportunities and broaden the perspective of the domain.
