Join us at this unforgettable event where our special guest: Christina Verchere, CEO OMV Petrom, who will be sharing with us her experience in the O&G industry and her perception about Diversity & Inclusion and its importance.
ABOUT OUR GUEST:
Christina Verchere holds a Master degree in Economics Science from the University of Aberdeen, Scotland. She started her career in 1993 and has spent over 20 years with an oil and gas supermajor, where she held numerous leadership positions in the UK, the US, Canada and Indonesia. Between 2012-2014, she has been the Regional President Canada of BP located in Calgary and between 2014 – 2018, she has been the Regional President of the Asia Pacific region, located in Jakarta, Indonesia. She was appointed Chief Executive Officer and President of the Executive Board of OMV Petrom starting May 1, 2018.
ABOUT SPE D&I COMMITTEE:
The Diversity & Inclusion Committee (D&I)’s vision is to advance the society’s commitment to diversity and inclusion within the oil and gas community through advocacy, collaboration, and education. The D&I international committee was launched in 2020, and previously known as the Women in Energy (WIN), which was originally established in 2016.
The SPE has a broad reaching membership base and expansive network of influence. Diversity and inclusion (D&I) activities and efforts must be bespoke for the local environment. This committee will work to foster productive relationships between its members and the local sections and chapters to ensure D&I upholds local cultural and societal context.
