We continue the thread and remain firm with our commitment on serving to our members, supporting technically and professionally in these difficult times.

Recent technology developments have enabled plugging in new functions into proppant, additional to keeping the frac mechanically open and providing a conductive path for production enhancement. These “plug-in” functions can be incorporated and combined at will to provide flow assurance, conductivity enhancement and measurement of the fracture dimensions. This talk reviews the technology development and illustrates it with case histories from around the world.

Pedro Saldungaray is the CARBO Ceramics Technical Manager for Eastern Hemisphere based in Dubai, UAE. He has 30 years of experience in the Oilfield having held several Technical, Sales and Marketing positions with CARBO Ceramics, Schlumberger and Repsol YPF in Argentina, Ecuador, Venezuela, Indonesia, West Africa, the UAE, Brazil and MC)xico. Pedro has primarily dedicated his career to well stimulation and completion, with particular focus in hydraulic fracturing, sand control and acidizing.
