From basic drilling fluids to potassium formate fluids – A safe alternative for reservoir sections

On the 9th of March, 17:00-18:00(GMT+2), SPE Romanian Section is pleased to invite you at the webinar dedicated to drilling fluids and their development. Costin-Ionut Dinca, drilling fluids engineer and Project Coordinator for drilling fluids operations will present the journey “From basic drilling fluids to potassium formate fluids- A safe alternative for reservoir sections”, The presentation will summarize the “evolution map” of the main drilling fluids from the basic recipes to more complex formulations.

When it comes to drilling reservoir sections there is a continuous work for improvement to both minimize the impact on the reservoir and achieve the technical requirements that sometimes implies high densities or high temperatures or pressures.

Formate fluids are part of the solution when deciding to drill with a water-based fluid in a challenging environment.
