SPE Machine Learning: Predicting Hydrocarbon Production Data

Share:
30 Sep 2020, from 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm

About the presenter, Irina Marin:

In 2019, she completed a master’s in data science, including Machine Learning, Python programming and various Data Analysis Techniques, including Monte Carlo Simulations with RStudio. I also did some programming in C++.

She has a PhD in seismic depth imaging and initiated a depth domain inversion, as opposed to the time domain inversion for reservoir characterization from Total and Institut Français du Pétrole. She enjoys connecting domains that were previously disjointed.

In addition, to her Research and Engineering projects and programs, she held also geoscientist support roles, as well as technical marketing roles working with many clients (Chevron, Statoil, BP, Exxon Mobil, Repsol, and many more) and collaborating with specific clients for the implementation of High Performance Computing and Interactive environments with the aim of providing leading edge seismic exploration, appraisal and production solutions, all calibrated with well information.
