SPE Tech Days 2024

In this era of energy industry upheaval, where the challenge of balancing energy security, transition, and affordability looms large, dialogue, education, and networking become vital for progress. Amidst these trying times, there lie opportunities for learning, growth, innovation, and more.

Following the success of last year’s gathering with over 150 participants, we’re thrilled to announce the third edition of SPE Tech Days in 2024, an event spanning three days tailored for aspiring professionals in the energy sector. This collaborative effort involves the Romanian Section and three Student Chapters: Petroleum – Gas University of Ploiesti, University of Bucharest, and Alexandru Ioan Cuza University.

Our aim is to bridge the gap between students and industry experts, inspire the next generation, and foster retention in the energy field. Throughout these days, you’ll connect with peers, engage with industry specialists, attend technical sessions to enhance your knowledge, gain insights from panel discussions, and stay updated on industry standards and job requirements at the career fair.

SPE Tech Days also offers a platform for operator and service companies to showcase their businesses, provide internship opportunities, share technical expertise, offer giveaways, and encourage students to pursue careers in the energy sector for a brighter future.

This year’s agenda will feature:

• 12 Technical Sessions – Dive into key topics from geology to data science. Expand your knowledge and stay ahead in the energy industry.
• 2 Panel Discussions – Engage with experts on vital industry issues. Gain insights and bridge the gap between academia and industry.
• 1 Career Fair – Propel your career forward. Connect with top employers and chart your path in petroleum engineering.
