Upstream Oil and Gas Markets – an Introduction Market analysis, indexes and insights on project costs and oilfield equipment and services markets As coordinates in the energy world are changing ever so fast, continuously shifting the way we look at the transition, trade policies, tariffs, decarbonization, the imperative to stabilize project costs and optimize supply chains has never been more critical. This presentation will explore how a deeper understanding of the factors influencing the upstream market can mitigate uncertainty in a dynamic cost environment, especially in light of shifts in industry fundamentals and geopolitical disruptions. We will discuss strategies for managing and anticipating upstream costs and risks, as well as methodologies for evaluating project costs over the long term.
Bio
Eliza Iordache is a Senior Research Analyst with the Commodity Insights division of S&P Global. Her role focuses on consolidating industry and market information into quarterly price updates and long-term forecasts, covering the production chemicals, wells services and wells materials markets. Before joining S&P Global, Eliza worked for Halliburton Energy Services Romania, as fluids engineer for the Hydraulic Fracturing division and as an operations planner for the Drilling Fluids division. Prior to that she worked in the supply chain sector of the automotive industry for Groupe Renault and Honeywell. Eliza holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Transports Engineering from the Polytechnics University of Bucharest and has completed Master’s Studies in Project Management with the Romanian National School of Political and Administrative Studies.
