ABSTRACT: 

Bond log interpretation is an “under-taught” and often-misunderstood discipline, which has cost the oil and gas industry a vast amount of money. There are several reasons why cement bond logs are often mis-interpreted, with lack of training, logging tool limitations, and a lack of wellbore information, being three of the most common. With an emphasis on the young professional who is just joining an oil & gas operator or services company, this webinar meeting will discuss the four keys to becoming a good bond log interpreter.

Short-Bio: 

Kirk Harris is the technical advisor for ThoroughBond LLC, which provides technical support for cementing and bond log interpretation. Currently based in Louisiana, Kirk was the former global cementing advisor for Oxy, Talisman Energy, and Repsol. He has a total of thirty-nine years of cementing experience, many of those spent with Halliburton, where he worked as a cementer, operations and research engineer, and technology manager. Kirk graduated from Purdue University with a degree in civil engineering.
